2017 CMA Scholarships—Now Accepting Applications until 4/29/17
The Charlestown Mothers Association is offering three college scholarships, one for $2,500 and two for $1,000. The scholarships are available to students (male and female) who have been residents of Charlestown for at least five years, and will be attending college full-time this fall. Copies of the application are posted in both Word and pdf format. The completed application is due by April 29, 2017.
2016 CMA Scholarship Winners!
The Charlestown Mothers Association is pleased to announce this year’s award of college scholarships to deserving Charlestown students. This year, in response to an increased number of applicants, CMA expanded the number of scholarships, and has awarded a total of $9,000 in college scholarships to ten worthy applicants. The winner of CMA’s top scholarship for $2,500 is Jamia Robinson, who will be attending Salem State University this fall.
The CMA scholarship committee also has awarded $1,000 each to four deserving applicants: Christian Labeck, who will be attending UMass Amherst, Sophie Shea, who will be attending the University of Edinburgh, Solomon Taieb, who will be attending New York University, and Augustus Viveiros, who will be attending Emerson College. In addition, this year the CMA scholarship committee is awarding $500 scholarships to five deserving applicants: Ronan Carrier, who will be attending UMass Amherst, Evan Mansfield, who will be attending UMass Boston, Bryn O’Hara, who will be attending the College of the Holy Cross, Eli Swab, who will be attending Yale University, and Krystal-Rose Zimmerle, who will be attending Southern New Hampshire University.

2015 Scholarship Winners
The Charlestown Mothers Association is pleased to announce this year’s winners of college scholarships from CMA. With so many amazing young adults in Charlestown, the selection was difficult.
The winner of CMA’s top scholarship is Noel Charbonnier, who is attending Castleton State College this fall. Noel’s strong academic success, extensive community service, participation in school sports, employment record, enthusiastic letters of recommendation, and essays were compelling, and the CMA scholarship committee voted to award him CMA’s top scholarship of $2,500.
The CMA scholarship committee also has awarded scholarships of $1,500 to Conal Lynch, who attends Tufts University and Elizabeth Pardy who will be attending The University of New Hampshire. Li Mei, who will be attending Suffolk and Maximilian Runci, who will be attending Providence College were both awarded $1000 scholarships. In addition, the CMA scholarship committee is awarding scholarships of $500 to Molly Cadger, who is attending Fitchburg State University and Sandy Hoang, who will be attending Stonehill College.
